Hello My Happy FabuNOLA Family!!!

Happy Newness for a New You in 2010 (and beyond)!!! I’ve been thinking A LOT about you all lately and will send you a new FabuNOLA eNewsletter (soon … hopefully tomorrow) to let you know about some SuperFabu events going on (including a new “FabuNOLA presents …” Event). If you’ve been following me & FabuNOLA on Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn, your’e very up to date with what’s been happening with me on a regular basis. Here’s one spectacular event that I just had to get the word out about right away though.

I was fortunate enough to work with Chris Bridges (aka Ludacris) a few years back at Essence Music Festival. He is one of the nicest people around (along with his Krewe … and his Mom and daughter, Karma, are super sweet too). Well, I saw him and their FabuKrewe last week at the Hornets game and again for the Hornets after party. Chris (okay … aka Ludacris) comes often to our FabuCity (and surrounding parts) and supports us dearly. They were here in FabuNOLA last year to shoot the Eco TV Series (Battleground Earth) that Chris and Tommy Lee did for Planet Green Channel. Yep Yep!! He’s a fellow Eco-Warrior too so I gotta spread the EcoLOVE!!

AND I just found out today that Ludacris (okay … aka Chris Bridges) will be back THIS very weekend again in Baton Rouge with Mario to be featured in a LIVE SHOW for the SPRITE STEP OFF NATIONAL COMPETITION going on at Southern University in Baton Rouge this Saturday, January 16th!!! AWESOME!!!!

This is to kick-off the Final Rounds of the Largest National Step Competition in History. WOW!!!! Be there to SEE the Best College Step Teams perform in your City!!! Now that sounds truly Fabu! See the GREAT flyer below … so much FabuEnergy!! Love IT! And the Alpha’s (A Phi A) won in DC … and I’m not being partial because my Dad is an Alpha (Love you, Daddy). If you are outside the FabuNOLA & surrounding areas … check out the schedule coming to a FabuCity near You (coming at You … Charlotte, Chicago, NYC, Houston & San Fran)!!

AND … there’s a Special Deal!! A $5 Promo Coupon Code is being given to you off the regular $15 ticket price when you use ordering tix online!!!!! Oooohhhh … A good deal AND a FabuShow … Bring IT!!!! The code for the $5 Off Online Coupon (also see below) is C1E524BA. Please go towww.SpriteStepOff.com/TICKETS to get yours NOW and join in all of the FUN!!

Plus, you will be supporting a college tradition that’s been going on for quite some time (I remember it all from WAY back in my day ;D!!). If you haven’t seen one of these phenomenal shows … this would definitely be the one to catch!! And … if you don’t know what it’s all about (yet!!) … time to Google it ;D!

OR just go to the website www.SpriteStepOff.com to look at the schedule, buy tix, see videos, join their Facebook page AND also learn more about something else pretty special … “The Sprite Step Off Service Challenge … Step With a Purpose. See how The Sprite Step Off inspires and enables young people across the country to aim high and achieve more through scholarships and community service.” Yes, giving of yourself to help others makes you and this world a better place. When you click here: www.spritestpoff.com/service-platform to see what it’s all about too, you’ll see exactly why I’m so charged up about supporting this positive movement!!

Wishing all the much Love and only Happiness for all the experiences Life is offering You … are you taking part? I sure hope so. Loving you every STEP (I just couldn’t resist) of the way!!

Okay, that’s it for now. Until the next time … I’ll see You on the Page or in Person! And tell them FabuNOLA sent YOU. As always … here’s hoping to see You … Out & About!!

I’ll definitely be there since they’ve just asked me to serve on their Board and it will be announced tonight. www.all4energy.org

Alliance annual meeting Tuesday, May 5, 2009 @ 6:00 pm in the atrium of the Art Egg Building.

Peace,

Cherylyn

It’s Jazz Fest 2009!!! Happy Fest to ALL!!

Standard

Well, it’s that time of year again . . . New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Fest 2009 (40 Year Anniversary). I’ve been busily clicking away to add as much content as possible. I apologize in advance if your event wasn’t listed in time. I do work the Festival and can only get to it in between working the Fest, adding events and the rest of my mega-social (or so it sometimes seems) life. But in FabuNOLA, whose isn’t, right!! If you aren’t busy from all of the social activities going on here . . . your not doing it right ;D.

Click on the Jazz Fest 2009 Categories on the side and check out what you can. Also, be sure to come and check out Fredy Omar’s show on Friday, May 1st, 2009. Fredy is such a great performer and his shows are definitely ones to catch. This year’s performance will have a special guest salsa dancing with the Latin Soul dance troupe . . . ME!!!!

I was just asked to dance last Friday for this Friday’s upcoming show. I’m so excited, I’m telling everyone . . . and that means YOU ;D!! So, I do hope you can make it out from 11:25 – 12:25 pm on Friday, May 1st to catch Fredy Omar con su Banda (and Me) on the Gentilly Stage. Bring a camera to take some pics for me and send since I can’t take them while dancing ;D. And I hope to see your lovely faces dancing out there too!!

Many blessings & love (always).

Peace,

Cherylyn
